Bremen Village Offices
The New Bremen Village Offices perform many different functions. Utility bills for water, sewer and electric are prepared and collected. Police bonds are also paid here. Building permits and Zoning Permits are issued, along with the planning and execution of construction projects and purchasing of supplies and equipment. Accounts payable and payroll functions are handled along with information requests of all sorts of things, including tall grass complaints.Economic Development activities are carried out along with grant administration, federal and state reporting, and financial management.
The Village Office Staff includes five full time people.The Village Administrator
directs the daily operations of the Village government.
Income taxes at the rate
of 1.5% are collected for New Bremen by the St. Mary's

The Municipal Center, built in 1981,
consists of several operations under one roof. There are the
Police Department, Fire Department, Rescue Squad, the Village
Offices, and the Council Chambers which are also used for Mayor's
Court and various public hearings and meetings.
