02/28/2007New Bremen Police Chief Doug Harrod announces that his department will begin enforcing the Truck Route Ordinance in the Teton Subdivision.
"We are getting heavy trucks driving on Bear and Elk Drives and those streets are in no condition to withstand those kinds of loads."
"Bear and Elk Drives are not truck routes and all trucks over 5 tons are advised to reach the new Cardinal Subdivision by entering on Cardinal Street east of the New Bremen High School or the new Burke Street which is reached from Kettler Road."
New home construction is underway in the new Cardinal Subdivision with 5 homes begun so far and more expected this spring. The Cardinal Subdivision has a total of 42 lots.
"Notices are being mailed to all contractors of record and they will be given a couple of days or one warning before we begin issuing citations. The fine for such a violation is up to $150 plus court costs per violation", stated Chief Harrod.
