The New Bremen Police Department provides law enforcement in the Village with six full time officers and five part time officers, including Chief Michael Skinner. All full time officers have completed mandatory training at the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy. The Department has three fully equipped cruisers on the roster, and has the ability to use additional Village vehicles for special events or disasters.

The Police Department is based in the Municipal Center between North Washington Street and North Walnut Street. Although there is always a minimum of one Police Officer on duty in the Village, the Police Station is NOT staffed continuously. Use the following phone numbers as appropriate:

The New Bremen Police Department utilizes a message service that allows us to send important community information directly to residents. The Nixle Community Information Service allows us to create and send messages to local residents via cell phone, email and web. Information is delivered almost instantly.  New Bremen residents can receive posted information via text message, email, and web by registering at New Bremen Nixle.

Mayor's Court is normally held in Council Chambers in the New Bremen Municipal Center on the first and third Thursdays at 4:30 pm or other times on a case by case basis.   Only misdemeanors are handled by Mayor's Court.

CITATIONS:  Citations can be paid at the village office at the municipal building during regular office hours, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday or at the Police Department, whenever staffed.  Payment can be made via cash, check or money order.  The option of credit card is also available but must be done online through NCourt.
