Minutes from the October 23 and November 8 meetings were approved with a motion by Schwartz. Second by Hoffman. All ayes.
Mayor Pape made the following announcements in the Mayor’s Report:
- Announced the NB-NK Rotary Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:30 p.m. at Lock One Park.
- Reported fines, fees and forfeitures for the month of $1814.00.
- Recognized Alex Speelman and Aaren Hemmelgarn as Eagle Scouts.
- Village Administrator York updated Council on various projects in the Village.
Randee Henson, representing Stolly Insurance, presented Council with various options for the health insurance renewal for 2013. First reading RESOLUTION 2012-11-41 authorizing the Village Administrator to renew the current Ohio Plan health insurance for 2013. The options will be presented to employees for further review. Motion by Kuck. Second by Schwartz. All ayes.
Third reading ORDINANCE 2012-10-13 authorizing the proposed rate modifications as presented by Courtney & Associates (see attachments with Oct. 16 meeting). Motion by Hoffman, second by Stienecker. All ayes.
Schwartz made a motion to suspend the rule. Second by Kuck. All ayes. ORDINANCE 2012-11-14 amending 2012-10-13 the Electric Rate Tariff by changing the rates for service for outdoor lighting. 175 Watt per month from $5.00 to $10.00; 250 Watt per month from $6.50 to $13.00; 400 Watt per month from $8.00 to $16.00 and charging a one time installation fee for materials and labor. Motion by Burnell. Second by Stienecker. All ayes.
Second reading RESOLUTION 12-10-38 authorizing the Village of New Bremen to enter into a contract with the German Township Trustees for the use of the Village’s fuel station. Motion by Schwartz. Second by Wills. All ayes.
Burnell made a motion to suspend the rule. Second by Wills. All ayes. ORDINANCE 2012-11-15 an ordinance enacting and adopting the 2012 supplement to the Code of Ordinances for the Village of New Bremen. Motion by Kuck. Second by Wills. All ayes.
First reading RESOLUTION 2012-11-42 authorizing the expenditure of funds in the amount of $70,000 for day to day operations of the Village of New Bremen from January 1, 2013 through January 8, 2013 when the 2013 Appropriations Ordinance is adopted. Motion by Hoffman. Second by Kuck. All ayes.
First reading RESOLUTION 2012-11-43 entering into a contract with Robert W. Kehoe for the rendition of services as Mayor’s Court Magistrate beginning January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013. Motion by Burnell. Second by Kuck. All ayes.
