Roll call showed the following members present on this date at 6:30 p.m. Burnell, Parker, Schwartz, Hoffman, Kuck and Kronenberger. Also present were Mayor Pape, Solicitor Smith, Village Administrator York, Chief of Police Skinner and Fiscal Officer Gast.
Visitors were Matt Krieg, David Giesige representing The Daily Standard and Andrew Wilson representing The Evening Leader.
Minutes from the January 19 had the wrong date and was changed. Minutes from the January 19 and 26 were approved as amended with a motion by Hoffman. Second by Burnell. All ayes.
Mayor Pape made the following announcements in his Mayor’s Report:
- Announced the Public Hearing for the First and Washington Street Reconstruction Project for Feb. 10 will be rescheduled.
- Reported fines, fees and forfeitures in the amount of $1140.00.
- Village Administrator York updated Councilors on various projects within the Village.
Third reading RESOLUTION 2015-1-2 amending Resolution 2011-6-21 by increasing the engineering contract with GPD in the amount of $1350 for the Herman Street Substation Upgrade. Motion by Kronenberger. Second by Kuck. All ayes.
Third reading RESOLUTION 2015-1-3 entering into an architectural contract with Freytag and Associates not to exceed $27,500 for Lions Park restrooms. Motion by Hoffman. Second by Burnell. All ayes.
Second reading ORDINANCE 2015-1-3 naming Riebel Drive as the name of the un-named street in the Bunker Hill Industrial Park between VisionMark and Fastenal. Motion by Parker. Second by Kronenberger. All ayes.
Kuck made a motion to suspend the rule. Second by Kronenberger. All ayes. RESOLUTION 2015-2-6 a Resolution of Necessity for the First and Washington Streets Reconstruction. The Public Hearing will be announced at a later date. Motion by Hoffman. Second by Parker. All ayes.
First reading RESOLUTION 2015-2-7 entering into a contract with the New Bremen Emergency Squad, Inc. for the rendition of emergency medical technician-paramedic services. The contract is for one year and the amount is $78,000 payable in three installments of $26,000 on June 15, September 1 and December 1. Motion by Kronenberger. Second by Schwartz. Five ayes. Parker abstained.
Kuck made a motion to suspend the rule. Second by Burnell. All ayes. RESOLUTION 2015-2-8 authorizing the Per Capita Assessment for 2015 for the Auglaize County Office of homeland Security and Emergency Management. The cost of the assessment is $2233.50. Motion by Hoffman. Second by Schwartz. All ayes.
