Roll call showed the following members present on this date at 6:30 p.m. Burnell, Parker, Schwartz, Richter, Kuck and Kronenberger. Also present were Mayor Pape, Solicitor Smith, Chief of Police Skinner, Village Administrator York and Fiscal Officer Gast.
Visitors were Claire Giesige representing The Daily Standard and Andrew Wilson representing The Evening Leader.
Minutes from the April 11 meeting were approved with a motion by Parker. Second by Kuck. All ayes.
Schwartz made a motion to approve a total expenditure for the month in the amount of $935,703.67. Second by Kronenberger. All ayes.
Mayor Pape made the following announcements in his Mayor’s Report:
- Announced the Spring Clean Up will be April 30 from 8:00-11:00.
- Stated the meetings for school improvements will be held on April 26 and May 1.
Second reading RESOLUTION 2016-4-22 authorizing a donation of $7000 to the New Bremen Swim and Dive Team. Motion by Parker. Second by Richter. All ayes.
Second reading RESOLUTION 2014-4-23 to proceed toward the construction of Komminsk Drive in the Bunker Hill Industrial Parker by authorizing the purchase of water and sewer pipe. Motion by Kuck. Second by Kronenberger. All ayes.
Second reading ORDINANCE 2016-4-10 levying assessments for improvements of First and Washington Streets in the amount of $20,502.50 at a rate of 8% for 10 years. Motion by Schwartz. Second by Kronenberger. All ayes.
First reading RESOLUTION 2016-4-24 authorizing $25,000 to Choice One Engineering for additional engineering services. Motion by Burnell. Second by Kronenberger. All ayes.
First reading RESOLUTION 2016-4-25 authorizing Change Order #3 for Muhlenkamp Building Corp. in the amount of $5,269 for added toilet accessories, changing restroom exhaust for exposed dampers to above ceiling with round duct and round motorized dampers and door hardware from Satin to Dark Bronze. Motion by Parker. Second by Kuck. All ayes.
RESOLUTION 2016-4-26 to reject all bids for the Park Building Project due to cost and site location. There will be a Special Council Meeting on Thursday, April 28 at 4:30 to discuss financing options for the Public Works and Police buildings. Motion by Kuck. Second by Parker. All ayes.
Administrator York updated Council on the Raw Water Supply and the swimming pool liner.
