The 2018 Bremenfest Committee is entering the home stretch in planning the 2018 festival. Our 2018 theme is #commUNITY. The emphasis here is on UNITY. We feel that we can accomplish so much more when we are united. Our community saw that this past fall when the New Bremen girls volleyball team won the state championship. Collectively each team member worked together to reach their goal. We are pleased to announce that Head Coach Diana Kramer has agreed to be our 2018 Grand Marshal for our parade, Coach Kramer also has agreed to speak at the opening ceremonies. We hope you come out to hear her inspirational message.
Your favorite events will be back for 2018 such as The 5K Walk/Race & Kids Fun Run, Little Miss & Queen Pageants, Kids Fishing Derby, Car Show, Corn Hole Tournament, Chili Cook-Off, Mud Volleyball, Punt, Pass, & Kick, & the Parade,
We are also working on the Cheer Competition as well as bringing back the Bike Tour. In addition to these old time favorites, we are also excited to announce two new events for this year’s festival. Our first ever Talent Show will take place on Saturday afternoon with finals on Sunday afternoon with cash prizes awarded to the top 3 talents. Please watch for the talent show registration form on be posted soon at www.bremenfest.com.
By now some of you may have already heard about the second big event being planned. There are a group of community members building a Ninja Warrior Course for the festival. Check out our Facebook page to see a short video to whet your appetite.
Other new activities being planned are Turtle Races, Shuffle Mug, Puppet/Magician Show, & an updated food menu. We are also working on implementing Sign-Up Genius so volunteers will be able to pick volunteer opening using an online website. Please watch our Facebook page or our website for continued updates.
The 2018 Bremenfest will kick off on Thursday August 16 and continue through Sunday August 19. Entertainment will be provided by Another Round on Friday night, Karma’s Pawn on Saturday night and from Nashville, TN The Remedies on Sunday night.
