Scholarship available for 2015 NBHS Graduates

As a member owner of American Municipal Power (AMP) the Village of New Bremen is able to extend AMP scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors of New Bremen High School. Currently the Scholarship Committee of the American Municipal Power Board of Trustees is calling for nominations for scholarships awarded in memory of Lyle B. Wright and Richard H. Gorsuch, distinguished leaders in public power history.  Participating in the scholarship program is an excellent way to show community involvement and support education.  AMP will award up to four Lyle B. Wright and up to four Richard H.

Veteran's Day

Veterans Day: A celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Please take time to honor a veteran, even if it is a simple statement to thank them for their service.  Here are just a few example of how our community will be honoring veterans over the coming days:

November 8th:  Post 241 Veteran's Day Dinner
After the program there will be a DJ on the bar side.

2014 Cider Time

Since 1955, the annual Cider Time parade has been a New Bremen tradition.  The parade begins at the north end of Lion's Park with village fire trucks leading the pack.  Children of all ages march down Main & Plum with the Crown Pavilion as the final destination.  Upon arrival at the Pavilion, donuts and apple cider await.  Following the parade, the costume contest begins with a wide array of creativity on display.  The costume contest categories range from Clowns & Witches, Scariest, Funniest, most unique and everything in between.
